No More Tablecloths: Dining Tables are Made to Last

For years people have used tablecloths to cover up the beauty of their dining table because they were afraid that the appearance would be compromised. Sure, that may have been true in the past, but that is not so true nowadays with the extra tough finishes and the making of tables that are meant to be seen rather than covered up.

No, you don't want to paint your version of a Picasso painting on your dining table, but when it comes to normal use you shouldn't have to cover up your investment. The dining table is meant to be the center piece to your dining area, so it is a decorative asset that cannot be ignored. When covering it with a tablecloth, the essence of the room is broken and the beauty of the table is not being seen.

That's not to say that you can't dress up your dining table with a vase containing your favourite flowers and, depending on your table, you can place something such as lace placemats upon it to accent the room. However, even the placemat is going to lose its place on the dining table once it is realized how durable the finishes are on these dining tables. There is a natural beauty within the wood that is meant to be seen.

As for the dining chairs, the dining chair is also becoming just as durable as dining tables and padded dining chairs are being engineered with a degree of stain resistance. This is great because obviously the dining table companies have heard the cries of the consumer and are giving the consumer what they want.
